I knew this would turn nasty. Thank christ I had the good sense to stay out of it.

He jumps up and awkwardly shouts 'OH-H!' but the women sneer at him and head for the exit.

        sigh...happy birthday, fux. happy birthday.

well if the third graders here hate it, I must be on to something. sorry to leave you hanging so long, here ya go....

Barkeep Andy had poured enough cheap whisky into the old-fashioneds to stop fux's hands from shaking. 'You can keep the change' fux murmured as he tossed a wrinkled twenty on the bar. 'Gee thanks, Elon' Andy cracked. 'Maybe I'll get that Lambo after all.'

Fux flashed a finger-gun, winked, and walked unsteadily towards the door.

The cold Columbus wind hit fux hard in the face as he stepped off the curb, but not nearly as hard as the city bus that blasted his booze-soaked body three car-lengths down High Street. Did he even see it coming? Don't ask fux, as his jaw is still wired shut.

I'd be interested in hearing Truman's [D] take on that, but he's unavailable

That might have been before the magic transformation - back when the Ds were Rs and Rs were Ds. I forget how the fable goes, but I'm pretty sure I'm on base here.

Did this 'transformation' occur before or after [R] opposition to the New Deal?

Details are hazy - I know that a great number of disparate events had to occur. Sinking of the Titanic, the Louisiana purchase, development of the Colonel's 11 herbs and spices recipe, etc. etc. Why don't you ask fux, he'd know.

like the miners used to say - after the gold is removed, crap is all that's left. I think that's how the term 'Politically Left' was 'coined'. Life is like a puzzle.

everyone must forgive our toothless colleague - I mentioned the word 'rape' in a different thread, and it's really 'lit' up the imagination of this one and a few of his kind.

Let this serve as a lesson - there are some topics that are just not appropriate for 3rd graders, or those who identify as such.

With regard to your original point, it should be pointed out that nuclear weapons were deployed by Truman [D], and leveraged to call a nuclear-armed adversary's bluff by Kennedy [D].

You may now return to your obfuscation and partisan sloganeering if it helps to take the sting out of your defeat in debate

You'll be relieved to know that I no longer get alerts when I'm quoted. I guess it's a safety measure for your benefit.

Now what were you saying about your defeat?
